Hampton Inn at the Falls Community Spirit Highlighted In Corporate Communication
The Hampton Inn by Hilton at the Falls has just been recognized for its generous spirit – specifically General Manager Nancy Wales. Nancy was one of 12 women who participated in the “12 Women in a Tent – Women who care for Project Share”. The massive fundraising event was put as a challenge to the women to spend 5 days in a tent in Oakes Garden Park to raise much needed funds for Project Share – a local charity that supports those in need with nutritious meals. In total, the women collected $155,000 in donations and food. Nancy’s participation in the event and the hotel’s continued support of local charities was honoured with a feature article in the “Hampton Highlight” a weekly corporate email newsletter that showcases the spirit of Hampton staff. In addition to Nancy’s extended camp-out, the staff at the Hampton Inn by Hilton at the Falls was recognized for fundraising drives run throughout the year to collect food donations, winter clothing and toys.
Nancy and the 12 women team are already putting together next year’s event, and have put a challenge out to other fellow Hampton Inn properties to get involved with similar fundraisers in their cities and to show their Hampton Spirit.
